The potentiality of a flat panel made with bifacial back-surface-field silicon solar cells to collect the light reflected by the environment (albedo) is experimentally shown. Its behaviour is compared to the performance of a conventional flat panel in a high-albedo site. The bifacial panel produces about 50 per cent more electrical power than the conventional panel.
